Machine with monitoring device consisting of a controller, by means of which the actuators can be evaluated on other actual values, the effect of the control commands on the actuators and a main contactor for switching on and off of the entire power supply, which is controlled by the controller and a manually operated main switch to activate and deactivating the machine and the controller, wherein at least some sensors can be monitored by the controller even after the deactivation of the main switch and for each sensor a setpoint or setpoint range can be stored and retrieved and compared to the respective actual value, in which a shutdown of at least one actuator is permitted and a shutdown of an actuator is only possible if the actual values of all relevant sensors have reached the setpoint or setpoint range stored for the shutdown.
