The card reader has V-shaped latching portions (25a) which are provided with latching top face and latching bottom face formed in the locked position of cover along each of the upper bearing surface and lower bearing surface contact lines (105a,105b) with the contact carrier-side locking elements (36a) that leads to linear system. The contact lines of upper bearing surface of partial segment surfaces (102a,103a) and lower contact surface of partial segment surfaces (102b,103b) are formed as contact edges (104a,104b) at preset angle and are arranged offset to one another.
