The method involves presetting travel time reserves (delta t-0) for compliance with time table and for recovery of a schedule confirmed drive operation. The travel time reserve is divided into a portion (delta t-1) extending a minimum hold time (delta t) and a portion (delta t-2) extending travel time for drive energy reducing optimization of the drive curve (3,4.1).
