The device has a pendulum mass element carrier (34) attached with pendulum mass elements (38) which are rotated around a rotation axis (100) and secured with each other to form pendulum mass element pair by attachment element. The deflection angle (104) of pendulum raceway (106) relative to the pendulum mass element carrier is limited. The pendulum mass elements are rotated along pendulum raceway around pendulum mass element center portion (52) at a rotating angle (108). The rotating angle at each point of pendulum raceway is equal to deflection angle. An independent claim is included for torsional vibration damper.
