A fuel detector detects pressure of fuel in fuel path and outputs the sensor signal. An analog/digital (A/D) converter (55) converts the sensor signal into A/D changed value. The fuel pressure value is computed based on A/D changed value and the control output characteristics information regarding amplification set value and offset value is produced. The limited measuring range containing fuel pressure value is set. The sensor signal produced based on amplification set value and offset value is altered if fuel pressure in limited measuring range varies. An independent claim is included for fuel injector.
