Use of thermoplastic molding composition (A) comprising 30-98 wt.% of at least one thermoplastic polyester, 1-25 wt.% of a metal salt of phosphinic acid, 1-20 wt.% of a nitrogen-containing flame retardant and 0-50 wt.% of other additives, for the production of laser-markable molding, is claimed. An independent claim is included for producing laser-markable molding composition comprising exposing (A) to an energy radiation.
