The reference half cell comprises polymer electrolytes (3) comprising a copolymer on the basis of a cationic monomer component and an anionic monomer component. The cationic monomer component comprises a quaternary amine. The copolymer: comprises an additional monomer component and an additional crosslinkable monomer component; and is crosslinked with a transverse crosslinker. An independent claim is included for a method for producing a half cell for electrochemical measurements.
