The method involves limiting the current action area of the deposit from the surrounding by a covering device. The gas is released from the gas hydrate by heating the limited area by applying direct or indirect solar energy. The gas is collected under the cover and is removed at one or multiple peak points of the covering device for conveying to the technical facilities for storage and transportation. An independent claim is also included for a device for releasing and conveying methane from marine deposits, such as perma-frost soil.
