The brass instrument has valves (1) that includes a valve sleeve (2), and valve cover (3) screwed in bottom side of the valve sleeve. A hole (4) is formed in the valve cover, and a valve piston (5) is arranged in the valve sleeve. An air permeable water absorbent element (6) is arranged in the valve cover and ejected through the hole in the valve cover.
