The vehicle (1) has an axle load increase device (2) for increasing axle load during emergency braking operation and comprising multiple pyrotechnic units (3). A cover (15) i.e. passive cover, is attached to the pyrotechnic units and adjustably arranged between an opening position and a closing position in a region of a thrust exhaust opening (14) of the pyrotechnic units. The cover covers the thrust exhaust opening in the closing position and releases the thrust exhaust opening in the opening position. The cover is arranged in an external shell (11) in the closing position.
