The stand (1) has a motor carrier (7) and a gear box clamping plate (10) guided on a frame (2) by a common guide structure. The guide structure comprises a motor carrier guide (11) and a gear box clamping plate guide. Another frame (3) comprises a bearing mounting (22) for a bearing (23) of a side driven shaft (26) of a gear box (13). The bearing mounting is provided on a horizontal displaceable carriage (24) at the former frame. The carrier is asymmetrically formed with respect to a vertical center plane of the stand.
