The system has a pilot valve including a micro-electro-mechanical system (MEMS)-based device e.g. MEMS-based pressure differential actuator valve, operably connected to a hydraulic device of an automated manual transmission. A regulating valve i.e. MEMS-based spool valve (200), is operably connected to the pilot valve and the hydraulic device to direct fluid to the hydraulic device based on an actuation of the pilot valve. A MEMS-based pressure sensor senses pressure profile of pilot signal from the pilot valve or control signal from the regulating valve. The hydraulic device is a clutch assembly, a select valve, gear actuation control valves and a clutch control valve. An independent claim is also included for a vehicle comprising an engine.
