The device has a crane that is provided with a crane intersect, a crane hook and an attaching element. The attaching element enables releasable fastening of a rotor blade (14) at the crane hook. A support assembly is secured in an upper area of the crane intersect. A supporting surface of the support assembly is projected in vertical movement plane of rotor blade such that the rotor blade or attaching element is made to contact with the support assembly. The supporting surface is provided for securing the rotor blade against rotation about vertical axis. An independent claim is included for method for assembling rotor blade at rotor hub of wind energy plant.
