The equipment (30) has a scale brushing device and a suction device (22) for suctioning-off oxide scale from a surface of a steel product to be worked. A scale breaking device comprises two scale breaking rollers that are loadable by a pressure device in contact with the surface of the steel product. The scale breaking device is assigned to an adjustable frame (1), so that position of the frame is adjusted to thickness of the steel product. The breaking rollers are arranged next to each other in order to reach maximum processing width.
