The module (1) has an internal combustion engine (2), and a generator (3) coupled to the internal combustion engine. The internal combustion engine is designed as a gas turbine, and a waste heat recovery circuit (AK) is thermally coupled to the gas turbine. Clausius rankine cyclic process is carried out within the waste heat recovery circuit. An intercooler (8) is arranged between compressors (12, 13) of the gas turbine. The intercooler is thermally coupled with the waste heat recovery circuit. The compressors are driven by an electric motor (16). The engine is designed as a diesel or petrol engine.
