The handling device is provided with a coupling with a manipulator and a robot arm having gripper assembly (13), which has gripping tools (14,15,16,17,18,19,20,21,22,23,24,25,26) which are engaged by a handle to the semi-finished sheets (10,11,12). The gripping tools have grab effectors (27,28,29,30,31,32,33,34,35,36,37,38,39). An independent claim is also included for a method for handling of textile semi-finished sheets at a production of a fiber-reinforced motor vehicle component.
