The defrosting method involves using of unused waste heat from a cogeneration plant (18) or other unused waste heat from a house such as heating system. Air, escaping through a chimney (14), is passed through an air heat exchanger before leaving the chimney mouth. The heat is transferred to a secondary air circuit (16) to obtain the required heat energy for defrosting a photovoltaic and solar system (10).
