The method involves raising a part of a vehicle (1) using a suspension system, where an outlet (3) of an exhaust line (2) is in connection with a recycling part of a particulate filter. A signal is transmitted to a control unit, and a control unit signal is transmitted to the suspension system. A suspension system signal is transmitted to the control unit to acknowledge the raising process of the vehicle part. Another control unit is transmitted to a regeneration device to initiate a regeneration process, and a regeneration device signal is transmitted to the control unit. An independent claim is also included for a safety system comprising a waste gas system.
