Method for automatic detection of phase transformation of material caused by basic power conversion, involves determining and computationally evaluating transfer function without determining absolute value of power and material temperature
The method involves detecting temperature gradient in material. Power applied to the material is modulated with an offset-free signal, for changing the temperature gradient with a mathematical model for description of a transfer function between a parameter proportional to change of the power and resultant relative change in temperature in a solid or liquid phase. The transfer function is determined and computationally evaluated without determining an absolute value of the heating power applied into the material and material temperature.
