The device has a gripper tool (1) which has screw dies (2) that are assembled with a knife (9), where the screw dies are driven and pivotally mounted in a frame (3). The cutting edge of the knife runs parallel to the pivot axes (4) of the screw dies. The screw dies have sections (10) of the outer peripheral surface in the closed position of the screw dies with adjacent cutting edge of the knife. The sections lie approximately in a common plane.
