The optical sensor has a transmitted light beam emitting transmitter (2) and a receiver (5) which is formed for receiving the transmitted light beam (3) that is reflected as received light beam (4) from an object (6). The objects are selectively detected in the form of luminescence markers (12) such that the receiver is provided with an optical filter (11) that is impermeable for light with the wavelength of the transmitted light beam of the transmitter. The optical filter is permeable for light with the wavelength of the received light beam reflected by the luminescent markers.
