The holder (1) has a chuck (7) for a tool (2), and a supply device for supplying cooling and/or lubricating medium to the tool. A central delivery pipe is arranged in the chuck, where an outlet end of the pipe designed as a ring-shaped opening supplies the medium to the tool. The outlet end is enclosed by an axially-displaceable cone-shaped adapter casing. The adapter casing has an outer-sided bevel pointing in the direction of the tool, where outer diameter of the bevel corresponds to inner diameter of the chuck. A pipe nozzle is arranged at an inlet-side of the pipe. An independent claim is also included for a machine tool comprising a tool holder.
