The plate i.e. hot plate (10a), has a layer i.e. metallic layer, arranged on a surface of a base plate (12a), and comprising mutually-insulated sections. The base plate is partially-transparently formed from glass or glass ceramic. Line-like isolation regions limit the mutually-insulated sections perpendicular to the surface of the base plate, and intersect at a point. The base plate comprises sensor regions (34a, 36a) overlapping with the mutually-insulated sections. The isolation regions exhibit different longitudinal extensions viewed vertical to the base plate surface. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a domestic appliance plate.
