Method for purifying air sent to distillation apparatus to produce oxygen and/or nitrogen and/or argon, involves utilizing non-purified air flow from compressor to pressurize absorbers terminating regeneration phase
The method involves compressing air to be purified in a compressor (4), and purifying the air by two absorbers (7A, 7B). A regeneration phase of the absorbers is terminated by repressurization of the absorbers. Non-purified air flow from the compressor is utilized to pressurize the absorbers terminating the regeneration phase, where absorption pressure is greater than 13 bars and absorption temperature is greater than 20 degree Celsius. Maximum speed of non-purified pressurization air in the absorbers is lower than or equal to air speed in the absorbers at a time of an absorption phase. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for distilling air (2) an apparatus for purifying air.
