The glass-ceramic plate (1, 21, 37) comprises waveguides (3, 23, 35) that are housed in a core of the plate and diffuse electromagnetic radiations. The waveguides extend in the glass ceramic sides, include a part (11) for collecting light emitted by a source, have fuzziness of less than 10%, a refractive index of greater than 0.01-0.06 and a coefficient of heat expansion of greater than 0-17.10 - 7/[deg] C, and are obtained by ion exchange, selective exchange between silver oxide and lithium oxide and an intense laser. The glass-ceramic plate (1, 21, 37) comprises waveguides (3, 23, 35) that are housed in a core of the plate and diffuse electromagnetic radiations. The waveguides extend in the glass ceramic sides, include a part (11) for collecting light emitted by a source, have fuzziness of less than 10%, a refractive index of greater than 0.01-0.06 and a coefficient of heat expansion of greater than 0-17.10 - 7/[deg] C, and are obtained by ion exchange, selective exchange between silver oxide and lithium oxide and an intense laser. The part intended to collect the light emitted by the source opens on an edge (29) of the plate. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process for producing a glass-ceramic plate; and (2) a display device.
