The present invention relates to a device of mechanical athermalization passive including: - a barrel (1), formed of a first material having a first coefficient (λ1) of thermal expansion, and having a longitudinal axis (aa), comprising at least a first part (11) and at least a second part (12), the device being characterized in that it comprises - at least three beams (7) formed of the first material, each of the beams (7) connecting the first part (11) and the second part (12), circumferentially relative to the longitudinal axis (aa), - at least three bars (8), formed of a second material having a second thermal expansion coefficient (λ2), different from the first coefficient of thermal expansion, and distributed circumferentially around the barrel (1) with respect to the longitudinal axis (aa), each bar (8) connecting the first part (11) and the second part (12), axially with respect to the longitudinal axis (aa), so that a thermal expansion of the barrel (1) is reflected by a deformation of the beams (7) and of the bars (8) according to the longitudinal axis (aa). The present invention also relates to an optical system comprising such a device of the passive athermalization.
