The socket has a lateral contact element formed of metallic blade (2) extending inside an insulating sleeve (1) to cooperate with a lateral contact zone of a screw cap. Contact elements formed of pins (10, 25) and a central pin are located inside the sleeve so as to cooperate with a central contact stud of the cap and with contact studs of base of bayonet cap. One of the pins is shaped so as to establish an electric connection with the blade when the pin is not stressed, and interrupt the connection if the pin is stressed by a bayonet cap engaged in the socket.
