The device (1) has a rolling bearing (2) arranged between lower and upper enclosures (3, 4). The bearing includes a lower ring (6) mounted on the lower enclosure. An upper ring (5) of the bearing is mounted on the upper enclosure. Labyrinth sealing lips (15) cooperate with the upper enclosure. Rubbing sealing lips (16) are in contact with the upper enclosure. The sealing lips are distinct from anchoring units (3d, 4d) i.e. hooks. A rigid part (13) and a flexible part (14) of a body (12) are molded with one another by synthetic materials e.g. polyamide and glass fiber. An independent claim is also included for a MacPherson strut comprising a shock absorber.
