The device has a tractor module (12) comprising a displacement unit of the device in a duct. Removing units formed of side cleaning brushes (18) and a top cleaning brush (20) remove soot deposited on walls of the duct. A suction module (14) includes a recovery bag (56) for collecting the removed soot and a suction orifice (61) connected to a suction system. An attachment unit between the tractor module and the suction module separates the tractor and suction module and allows the tractor module to move the suction module. A display unit displays the interior of the duct. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a duct cleaning system comprising a duct cleaning device (2) a method for cleaning a duct by using a cleaning system.
