The installation has a water discharging unit (44) allowing discharging of water when level of water exceeds a certain level in a cavity (17) of an electric transformation station (1). The discharging unit forms, with the cavity, a space in which a quantity of water (50) is provided such that balance of water and leakage oil (58) is realized in the space without that the leakage oil enters into another cavity (38) following introduction of the leakage oil into the former cavity until a predetermined amount. An independent claim is also included for a method for mounting a separation installation.
