The device has an awning (1) that is adapted to be movably mounted on a panoramic roof of a motor vehicle. A pair of sun visors (3, 3') is movably mounted on the awning between a deployed position away from the awning and a folded position against the awning. A movement of the awning drives folding of the visors. A locking mechanism is provided for immobilizing the awning on the roof of the motor vehicle. An actuation handle (5) is provided with a displacement relative to the sun visors.
