The apparatus (500) has a frame separator (520) for decoding a frame of an ensemble transport interface (ETI)and for separating a set of data of a fast information channel from another set of data which is not in the channel, from the frame. A fast information channel converter (530) converts the former set of data of the channel into new set of data of the channel. A frame configuration unit (540) configures another frame of the ETIbased on the new set of data of the channel and the latter set of data which is not from the channel. An independent claim is also included for a method for processing data in a digital radio-broadcasting system.
