The case (1) has a functional face (2) for assembling a crankshaft pulley (2a) and an accessory belt (2b). A protection mask (4) is mounted on the face, and partially covers the face. A protection unit prevents penetration of water under the mask via a gap (1a) between the mask and the face. The unit comprises a deflector (5) projecting from the face and covering the gap over a part of its length. The deflector has a projection extending width of the gap so as to cover a part of a wall (4a) of the mask. The deflector and the case are formed as a single piece by injecting a plastic material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a thermal motorization assembly (2) a hybrid motorization assembly.
