The device has a movable cover (2) located above a transparent element (4), where the cover covers a reference solar cell (11) in closed position, and insulates the solar cell from solar radiation (3). A motor (6-1) displaces the cover to open position such that the solar cell receives the solar radiation. A measurement system (5) measures the reference current generated by the solar cell in the open position of the cover, and compares the measured reference current with another measurement. The cover is movable in translation in an axis defined by the solar cell.
