The system has a display screen (1) that is reconfigured and retractable into a fascia (7) of a motor vehicle. Another display screen (2a) i.e. touch screen, is provided in a reconfigurable manner, where a portion of the former display screen is returned to the latter display screen when the former display screen is retractable in a partially open or fully closed position. The latter display screen comprises a display surface (2b) and allows entry of user commands and feedback associated with a component e.g. audio system. The screen is stored in a housing in shape of a box placed horizontally in the fascia or in the form of a vertical slot.
