The module has a charge air cooler (8) including a downstream conduit (7) with an air passage sealing unit (11) e.g. valve, that is actuated between an open position in which an air passage section defined by the sealing unit corresponds to a passage section of the conduit and a closed position in which the air passage section defined by the sealing unit is smaller than the passage section of the conduit. The sealing unit is maintained in its open position during conventional operation phases of an engine and maintained in its closed position during foot release phases. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing an air intake module.
