The method involves placing tags in an interfacing device. The tags are transferred (55) from the device toward a tag storage terminal (54). Accounting information (57) relative to the tag transfer are stored and/or transmitted to a remote management center (56) to deliver statistical information relative to the tag transfer, where the statistical information comprise total number of transfers of the tags, number of tag transfers for a given period and number of tag transfers associated with the device and with data of the terminal and/or statistical calculation using the number of transfers. An independent claim is also included for an interfacing device for providing sequences of data i.e. tags.
