The system has a set of supports (30) defining a set of housing units to fix a profile at a position. Each support comprises a swiveling cam (32) for closing the housing unit, where the cam includes a cam profile for allowing retraction of a cam opening in the housing unit at the time of installation of the profile. A permanent biasing unit i.e. return spring (40), tends to close up the swiveling cam on the profile to maintain the profile in its fixed position. The cam is formed by cut out sheets or machined metal parts. The cam rotates around a screw (34) fixed in the support. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling a case element of a car.
