A contact assembly is described herein with a spring contact located in a housing, wherein a plurality of turns of the spring contact are interconnected and all are inclined. The turns also have external diameters of different external dimensions, including a section of the spring contact having an outer diameter greater than the other or the sections of the spring contact. When they are inside the internal cavity of the housing, the first end and the second end are spaced from each other and some of the plurality of turns do not come into contact with the housing. A pin, rod or shaft may be located in a passage of the spring contact of the contact assembly, but less than all the turns of the spring contact bear against the outer surface of the pin, the stem or tree.
