The method involves selecting highest values for minimum voltage demands and lower voltage demands, and comparing the values. A voltage value is provided for achieving a compromise between different voltage demands belonging to different intervals and based on assigned priority levels. An application of output voltage of an electric power generator (11) is controlled within a voltage interval that is equal to value of voltage synthesis. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for determining and regulating output voltage of an electrical energy generator feeding an electrical supply network (2) a vehicle.
