PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means useful for creation and development of an anticancer agent based on a new action mechanism.SOLUTION: There is provided a method for screening an anticancer agent comprising: (1) a step of preparing a cell including a promoter, and an introduced recombinant plasmid containing a reconstituted Bim gene under control of the promoter, having an exon 5 of the Bim gene connected to exons 2-4 of the Bim gene via an intron, and having a termination codon introduced into the exon 4, and a reporter gene connected to the downstream side of the reconstituted Bim gene in frame; (2) a step of culturing the cell in the presence of a test substance; (3) a step of detecting expression of the reporter gene; and (4) a step of determining the effectiveness of the test substance based on the detection result by using the recognition of a rise of the expression level of the reporter gene as an index of effectiveness.
