PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a means for measuring characteristics of a catalyst to be used in a light irradiation non-receiving state and to provide a non-photocatalyst body having a new structure.;SOLUTION: A catalyst body holding a positive hole in the light irradiation non-receiving state is obtained by supporting a solid composition containing the positive hole, which is produced by drying one or more kinds selected from carboxylates of transition metals and/or transition metal oxides such as titanium oxalate, titanium lactate, zirconium acetate, zirconium oxalate, manganese oxalate, iron oxalate, cobalt oxalate, nickel oxalate, copper oxalate, zinc oxalate, ammonium titanyl oxalate, oxy-vanadium oxalate and oxy-zirconium acetate, on the surface of a base material in the presence of silicon dioxide as a catalyst layer.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
