PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass precursor composition suitable for ceramics bonding that solves problems of conventional methods of bonding ceramics that include many processes of manufacturing glass, are high in cost, easily generate a bonding defect such as a pore in a bonding portion, and are inferior in bonding strength and sealability, and so on, and uses no expensive material, easily bonds ceramics, and has denseness and superior bonding strength, and a method of bonding ceramics using the glass precursor.;SOLUTION: After a bonding surface of ceramics is coated with a glass precursor composition for ceramic bonding comprising 35-50 wt.% of SiO2, 30-40 wt.% of CaO+MgO+BaO, 4-12 wt.% of B2O3, 2-10 wt.% of Na2O+K2O, 1-7 wt.% of Al2O3, and 0.5 wt.% or less of ZnO, and having an average particle size of 5-15 μm, the bonding surface is stuck and dried sufficiently, and a heat treatment is carried out on the resulting material at 850-1,200°C to vitrify the bonding portion.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2014,JPO&INPIT
