PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a water-based epoxy resin paint composition with excellent anticorrosive properties; and an anticorrosive painting method using the water-based epoxy resin paint composition.;SOLUTION: A water-based epoxy resin paint composition comprises a main agent containing an epoxy resin emulsion, and a curing agent containing an amine resin emulsion, wherein the viscosity at a shear rate of 0.1 (1/s) is 1.0 to 500 (Pa s, 23°C), and the viscosity at a shear rate of 1,000 (1/s) is 0.010 to 1 (Pa s, 23°C).
