PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic book production support device, or the like, capable of generating data for an electronic book, by automatically merging two text regions or a text region and an image region in correct order even when the positions of the two text regions or the positions of the text region and the image region are overlapped in printing data.SOLUTION: In a step S1, a position of a whole region included in a printing plate is acquired for each printing plate of printing data. In a step S3, a pair of overlapped regions is specified. When both of the pair of overlapped regions are text regions, in a step S6, areas of the two text regions overlapped at their positions are acquired, and in a step S7, text data included in the text region with a smaller area is merged into the text region with a larger area. On the other hand, when the pair of overlapped regions is a text region and an image region, in a step 8, the image region is merged into the text region.
