PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a greening accelerating member that can uniformly feed water, is easily manufactured and is inexpensive, and to provide a base substrate for vegetation.;SOLUTION: A greening accelerating member 2 is made of nonwoven fabric containing water-absorbing fibers and has a belt-like or cylindrical shape. The nonwoven fabric may contain rayon, may contain corrosion-resistant fibers that has a decomposition rate slower than the water-absorbing fibers, and may contain polyester.
