PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a causal relationship summarization method enabling generation of a highly reliable causal relationship in summarizing a cause sentence and a result sentence in a case where plural sets of cause sentences and result sentences are given.;SOLUTION: A causal relationship summarization method includes: inputting a set of sentences; generating, between nodes that are the individual sentences, an edge to which weight is attached in accordance with a causal relationship between two sentences within the sets or a degree of similarity between two sentences within the sets; disassembling a node set within graph data having the node and the edge into a predetermined number of clusters so that the sum of weights of the cut edge is a minimum; and executing a contraction process to integrate nodes so as not to have a causal relationship within each cluster.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
