PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medicinal composition containing a pharmaceutically effective amount of the compound represented by the formula I, pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or ester.SOLUTION: Disclosed is a chemical substance that breaks up the assembly and maturation of retrovirus. To be more specific, provided are a small molecule compound capable of breaking up the formation and maturation of virus particles and a method of using the small molecule for treatment of HIV-1 infection. This system and method target also at a method for breaking up the assembly and replication of HIV-1. These methods may include an intracellular administration of a pharmaceutically effective amount of the compound represented by the formula I or formula II, pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, or ester.
