PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate a more proper assumption sailing route.;SOLUTION: An optimal sailing route calculation apparatus comprises a past data acquisition section 12, a statistic processing section 13, and a sailing route calculation section 14. The past data acquisition section 12 acquires past marine phenomenon data and past weather data in a plurality of meshes obtained by dividing an area including a departure place and a destination in a sailing route of a ship. The statistic processing section 13 calculates statistic data by performing statistic processing on the acquired past marine phenomenon data and past weather data. The sailing route calculation section 14 calculates an optimal sailing route from the departure place to the destination through weather routing on the basis of the statistic data and sailing performance data of the ship.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
