PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To express the peak of heat generation by the oxidation of iron at an early period of time as early as possible after coating for reducing the load of moisture management by a farmer in the oxidation reaction time of the iron and for inhibiting the injury of rice seeds, that is, at the period when the moisture in a coating layer is not yet lost by drying or vaporization, and further to lower the maximum temperature of the heat generation even a little.;SOLUTION: This method for producing the iron-coated rice seeds is characterized by forming the coating layer on the surface of the rice seeds using the oxidation reaction of the iron, by bringing iron powder and ≥1 kind selected from the group consisting of carbon powder, powder of superphosphate of lime and mineral acid iron powder as accelerating agents of heat generation, in contact with water on the surface of the rice seeds.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
